Boss Life Presence Module is integrated over the WiFi network and counts the number of devices seen by an Access Point (AP) based on MAC Address. This data is then stored within Purple’s databases and queried to form meaningful metrics in the Boss Life portal.  This means that even if a customer walks by or in an establishment but does not sign onto the WiFi there will still be a record created that the device they were using was close by or in the location.  Once they do eventually sign on all those previous visits from the device will be synced to their profile they create.
